SEMID-EU: Services and support needs of migrants who use drugs and live in vulnerable situations in the EU

The SEMID-EU project, funded by the European Union’s Justice Programme – Drugs Policy Initiatives, intends to fill knowledge and practice gaps regarding migration and drug use in the EU to facilitate better responses to local challenges. The project’s objective is to gain a deeper understanding of the needs of migrants who use drugs and enhance local responses based on this knowledge. Various partners contributed to several project activities (Mainline, Correlation European Harm Reduction Network, Gaia Paris, Fixpunkt, IS Global Barcelona Institute for Global Health, Positive Voice and Ghent University), leading to scientific articles, a magazine, a report of the CBPR project that was carried out for this purpose, and diverse policy briefs and fact sheets.
