Film screening Soundtrack of a Coup d’État

The Learning Network of Decolonisation at Ghent University organises a screening of Soundtrack of a Coup d’État, a documentary by Johan Grimonprez.

The film revisits Congo’s 1960 struggle for independence through the lens of music and international politics, weaving together archival footage, news fragments, and jazz to explore how art intersects with power and history.
Following the screening, there will be a discussion with director Johan Grimonprez and Ishy Pryce-Parchment, a London-based artist working in film and archival research.
