International advisory board

CESSMIR is dedicated to interdisciplinary research, education and societal outreach on migration, refugees, and ethno-cultural diversity, with the ambition to contribute to a more inclusive and just society. For us, collaboration with non-academic partners is essential to achieve this societal impact.

In June 2025, we organised an advisory board meeting in Ghent, in Dutch, tailored to our local network. To complement this, we are now preparing an online international advisory board meeting in English, especially for our national, European, and international partners. Peer translations to for example Dutch, French or Spanish can be provided if necessary.

This meeting will be an opportunity to strengthen connections and build new partnerships across borders and explore future themes and formats for cooperation. By joining, you will be kept informed about CESSMIR’s ongoing and planned activities, while also having the chance to shape our work with your valuable input. Together, we aim to grow our community beyond Ghent and Belgium, towards a strong and diverse international network that bridges research and practice.
